Concept

The Yar Class is designed to replace Rigid Integral Bottom (RIB) boats of comparable size. The large RIB is a mainstay workhorse of many Navies and Law Enforcement forces used as interceptors and general duty crafts.

By using welded HDPE and not moulded GRP the customisation possibilities of the vessel are immense, there are many configurations possibilities, some can be applied during the working life of the boat eliminating the need to purchase a new boat when operational requirements change or when new technologies are available.

As with all our products special attention has been given to a multi-role design, whereby two or more function may be combined to form a cost-effective platform.

Our vessels are designed with sea handling as a top requirement, a secondary design feature is allowing the user complete access to all vessels systems such as electrics and fuel, as an example our vessels allow full access to the fuel tank so it may be cleaned in situ and even replaced without cutting of deck fittings.

The Yar Class is a proven design of Patrol Boats, the range include the 8m Mark 1 and 10m Mark 2. These hulls have a design speed of 50 knots, actual speed will depend on engines chosen.
